FAMILY FAITH SHEET

This week’s Transformation Scripture: Give to him who asks of you, and do not turn away from him who wants to borrow from you.  Matt. 5:42 (NASB)

(Cross References- 2 Cor. 8:3-5, 9:7, Prov. 11:24, 21:13 & 28:27)

Monday – Reflecting on yesterday

  1. Read Luke 13:18-21 and discuss Sunday’s message with someone.
  2. Where was the mustard seed planted and why is this important?
  3. How did the mustard seed turn out in the end and what is Jesus teaching about the Kingdom and the people in our sphere of influence?
  4. In what ways is yeast permeating dough similar to God using us to influence our homes and society?

Tuesday- Reflecting on this past Sunday

  1. Read John 18:28-40 (or just 33-36 if you have small children). What does Jesus say about the Kingdom and Himself and how might these truths impact our daily living?
  2. What contribution to His Kingdom are you being called to be part of right now that causes you to be most excited?
  3. How does seeing Jesus as the “King” of your life affect your relationships?

Wednesday – Reflecting on this past Sunday

1.  Read Exodus 12:15-19 and look up the reasons the Israelites were not to use leaven in their bread. Discuss what worldly influences (ungodly leaven) are most dangerous for you and or your family? Pray as God leads.

Thursday - Preparing for this Sunday.

1. Read Luke 13:22-35- What do you learn about salvation?

2. How does Jesus view the Israelites who refuse to love Him?

3. Do you “never”, “sometimes” or “often” grieve over someone who is lost? Pray God will increase our willingness to extend the Gospel to others.

Friday – Preparing ourselves for this Sunday

1. Read Acts 4:12. Much of the world would say we are “narrow minded” to believe such a truth. What would be your response to that complaint?

2. What would you say to someone who came to your house and complained there was only one front door? What is behind such a complaint? (Rom. 1:18-22)

Saturday- Preparing for tomorrow

1. Read John 10:9-10. What is at stake concerning the proclamation of the true Gospel and the counterfeits the enemy offers people?

2. Pray for the pastors, people serving at MCC, and those God brings to MCC as well as other Biblical churches that come to your mind.
