Pastor Rob Dunn

The real miracle is Immanuel; God with us. Because Jesus is……

 1.   Wonderful Counselor, we can follow Him.

          2.   Mighty God, we can depend on Him.

          3.   Eternal Father, we can be secure in Him.

          4.   Prince of Peace, we can find comfort in Him.

 FAMILY FAITH SHEET

Monday, 12-24-12 - Reflecting on Yesterday

1. Discuss Sunday’s message with someone. How has Jesus been your Wonderful Counselor? Mighty God?        Eternal Father? Prince of Peace?

2. Read Hebrews 2:16-18; 4:14-16.  Why do you think it was necessary for Jesus to be fully human? How does understanding both Jesus’s humanity and deity help you face temptations? Help you to pray?

Tuesday, 12-25-12 - Reflecting on this Past Sunday

1. Read Matthew 1:20-24; Luke 1:30-35; 2:9-14. In light of what these angels said, what do think Mary, Joseph and the shepherds thought and felt as they each looked upon the baby in a lowly manger?

2. Will your celebration of Christmas today reflect that you really believe that Jesus is Immanuel? How?

3. Read 2 Timothy 1:9-10. Pray and thank God for His grace toward us.

Wednesday, 12-26-12 - Reflecting on this Past Sunday

1. Read John 1:1;14 and Colossians 1:19; 2:9. How should knowing that Jesus is fully God change your perspective on the difficult situations in your life? What are some of those difficult situations?

2. Pray about them together right now.

Thursday, 12-27-12 - Preparing for this Upcoming Sunday

1.  Read 2 Timothy 4:6-8 and 2 Corinthians 5:14-15.  In what specific ways have you had to (or should you) stop living for yourself and start living for Christ?

2. Read Philippians 1:18-26. Are you able to say that those you spend time with   everyday are coming to know and treasure Christ more because of your influence on them?  If you were no longer at your job, in your home, or in the circles of friends you are in, would others know and treasure Christ more or less?

3. Spend time praying for the spiritual growth of those in your influence.

Friday, 12-28-12 - Preparing Ourselves for this Sunday

1. Read 2 Timothy 4:6-8 and 1Timothy 6:6-12.  List the things in this passage we are told to flee from and what things we are told to pursue. Why does Paul call it a fight to do this?

2.  In what areas of your life do you face daily spiritual battles? Read Mark 9:43-47, 2 Timothy 2:22, Colossians 3:1-4, Psalm 119:11, and Matthew 26:41.  These   verses are just a small sample of the obedience steps to take in such times.

3.  Read 2 Corinthians 10:3-5.  Discuss with someone what is said about overcoming strongholds in our lives.

Saturday, 12-29-12 - Preparing for Tomorrow

1. Read 2 Timothy 4:6-8 and 1 Corinthians 9:24-27. List the ways Paul says we are to run the race of life.

2.  Make a list and discuss with your family or a friend specific ways we can discipline our lives or practice self-control so we are living the   Christian life with increased passion, focus, and purpose.

3. Pray for tomorrow’s service, that God would prepare the hearts of each person going to be there, and that He would accomplish in and through each one what He desires during that time.
