The Power of Contentment in Spreading the
Gospel

                                                              Luke 9:1-11

1. Proclamation of the Gospel is God’s primary chosen instrument to do good to the souls of people.

A. God is holy & loving.

B. I am not.

C. Jesus Christ took my place.

D. I must repent & believe.

2. God uses our loving each other to reach others.

"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you…
"By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another
."                                                                         John 13:34-35 (NASB)

3. Contentment is a major tool that God uses in the salvation of others.

                                                             Luke 3:10-14

                                                             2 Corinthians 12:7-10

                                                             Philippians 4:10-14

                                                             1Timothy 6:6-10

                                                             2 Timothy 2:10

                                                             Hebrews 13:5-6

4.  The benefits of being content in Him concerning the Kingdom:

Brings Him the most glory.

"My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water,

and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”

                                                                  Jeremiah 2:13

B. Makes my witness attractive.

…praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to their number day
by day those who were being saved
.
                                                                 Acts 2:46-47 (NASB)

C. Gives the Gospel credibility.

…the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy
Spirit.
                                                    Romans 14:17 (NASB)
