Revelation 5:1-14

                                           The Lamb who is King   Part 2

                                                 Revelation 5:1-14

He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead."      Acts 17:31 (NASB) 

Because the Lamb is also the King….

I. Through Christ, God’s plan for this world is guaranteed

Isaiah 46:10 – (God says) My purpose will be established, And I will accomplish all My good pleasure.

II. Our problems are too severe for earthly answers, so He intervenes. 

Romans 5:6 - For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

III. Through Christ, God conquers rebellion, division, death & separation.

1 Corinthians 15:54-57 - …it is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory…" O death, where is
your sting?"  The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

IV. Through Christ, God assures us of our justification.

1 John 2:12 - I am writing to you, little children, because your sins have been forgiven you for His name's sake.

V. Through Christ, God promises present resurrection power & presence.

John 7:37-39 - … Jesus stood &cried out saying, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow
rivers of living water.' " … this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive…

VI. Through Christ, God gives His people a new resurrection body.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44 - So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown a perishable body, it is
raised an imperishable body; …it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body... 

VII. Through Christ, God transforms hardened hearts into joy in Him.

Psalm 43:4 - I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy…
