How to Grow and Connect at MCC

Acts 2:37-47

I. Study and Prayer

1.  A disciple is independently dependant upon the Lord & becoming Christ-like in character/conduct.

2. Purpose of Prayer is to realize the presence & power of Christ

II. Worship Services   Act 2:41-47

Church services are for the redeemed, regenerate, people of God, & the service can be enhanced by coming here with a prepared & expectant heart.

III. Small Groups        Act 2:43-47

The Purpose of small groups is to live out and grow into our calling as the Body of Christ.           

Essentials:      

1) Commitment

2) Engagement

3)  Reproducing

4) Genuine caring

How we do this here:

- HOPE groups: small group of mixed people that meet in homes across the area. Each group takes turns teaches various topics and has its own personality.

- Sunday morning classes: Adult Bible fellowship classes of both men and women, various ages and the focus is various topics.

- Wednesday night: larger small group that meets first in sanctuary for praise time with children and then meets

- Men’s and Women’s Studies: Groups that focus on men/women and give opportunity for same sex connections.

- Various Special groups: membership classes, how to share your faith etc…

- LTG’s: (Life Transformation Groups) Two or three people of the same sex meeting to read Scripture, ask questions and pray for those who do not yet know Christ.
