God’s Commission, Our Reluctance
Jeremiah 1:4-8
I. The foundation for our commission to serve God
1. God KNEW us before conception
2. God FORMED us in the womb
3. God SET US APART in Christ before we were born
4. God APPOINTED us to serve Him
II. Reasons for our reluctance
1. Perceived INABILTY AND INEXPERIENCE
-God’s reply to overcome:
a. Remember who is LORD
b. Make OBEDIENCE your focus
c. God is the SOURCE of our ability to serve Him
2. FEAR
-God’s reply to overcome: God is WITH you and will DELIVER you
