Thursday, 12-20-12 - Preparing for this Upcoming Sunday
1. Read Isaiah 9:6-7. From this prophecy concerning the birth of Jesus write down the names and promises we can attribute to Him.
2. What do each of these names and promises mean to you personally?
Friday, 12-21-12 - Preparing Ourselves for this Sunday
1. Read Isaiah 7:14 and Matthew 1:22-23. Understanding the meaning of the title Immanuel (God with us), which was given to Jesus, how does this specific name (characteristic) impact your daily life?
2. What are some practical things we can do in our family to focus on this truth at this time of year when the world around us is so consumed with material thinking and busyness?
Saturday, 12-22-12 - Preparing for Tomorrow
1. Read the story of our Savior’s birth with your family in Luke 1:26-35; 2:1-20. From these Scriptures and from the prophecies you read in Isaiah, what would you want to praise God for today?
2. Pray for the service tomorrow and for hearts to be awakened to the real miracle of Christmas.
