Luke 8:4-15

Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?                                                                                  2 Corinthians 13:5 (NASB) 

 (Jesus said) "Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces”.  Matthew 7:6 (NASB) 

 I.  Four Types of Hearts

 1. Hardened

 2. Superficial

 Blessed is a man who perseveres under trial; for once he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.            James 1:12 (NASB) 

3. Entangled

…since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.                                                                 Hebrews 12:1 (NASB)

 II. Basic Truths
