Christ, The Resurrected One – Luke 23:50 – 24:12

I. Some truths about His death and resurrection.

1. His death proves He is the God-man.

2. His death is payment for our atonement.

Romans 5:10  For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

1 Peter 2:24 He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.

 3. His resurrection validates all His promises.

2 Corinthians 1:20   For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.

II. What Jesus’ resurrection means for us.

John 7:37-39   Page #1068

 1. In Him, we possess daily resurrection life.

 Philippians 1:21   Page #1175

 2. To die will mean great gain.

 Hebrews 10:14  Page #1203

 3. Our “perfection” will soon be complete.

 Revelation 21:1-4 Page #1241

 4. We will soon be released from this fallen world.

 5. We will soon be home with Him.

Philippians 1:23   …having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for    that is very much better.
