Monday 1-21-13 - Reflecting on Yesterday
1. Read Luke 17:1-10. Discuss Sunday’s message with someone.
2. Is it difficult for you to see yourself as “His slave”? Why or why not?
3. Why must we also see ourselves as “His beloved”, etc.? (See Col 2:9-10)
4. Pray for His people to follow Him in every way for His glory.
Tuesday 1-22-13 - Reflecting on this Past Sunday
1. Read Luke 17:1-10 again. What is God saying to you through His word?
2. Marks of truly loving Christ are pointing others to Him, not wanting to dishonor His name, and not wanting to be a stumbling block to others. Read Hebrews 12:1-2. What are we to know? To do in His strength?
3. Read Galatians 5:16. How do we live so we point others to Him and cause no one to stumble?
4. Pray for our witness to burn brighter and be more effectively.
Wednesday 1-23-13 - Reflecting on this Past Sunday
1. Read Romans 6:20-22. What is the main truth?
2. To be enslaved, controlled by sin or righteousness, means there will be a directional way of living. Why is consistency important in our witness to others?
3. Pray for anyone the Lord brings to your mind.
Thursday 1-24-13 – Preparing for this Upcoming Sunday
1. Read Luke 17:1-10. A Slave of Christ -Part 2 -Seeking Forgiveness and Restoration.
2. What is the main point of verses 3-4 in your own words?
3. Why is it so important to be a “forgiver”? (Col 3:12-13)
4. Pray for our maturity, our forgiving spirits, and our witness.
Friday 1-25-13 – Preparing Ourselves for this Sunday
1. Read Psalm 51.
2. Write out or pray through what truths God reveals to you.
3. Pray for God to give you a deeper desire to live in harmony with Him and others.
Saturday 1-26-13 – Preparing for Tomorrow
1. Spend some time alone and read Psalm 139:23-24. Ask God to reveal whatever is keeping YOU from living to the fullest in Christ. What might be in you that is causing others to stumble? Is there an unforgiving spirit within you?
