    Definition - Abiding is continually dwelling “in” Christ by …

    ·Trusting upon our sufficiency “in” Him &

    ·Obeying His teachings in His strength.

    Abiding,not striving nor struggling; looking unto Him; trusting Him for present power;
    trusting Him to subdue all inward corruption; resting in the love of an almighty Savior.                                              Hudson Taylor

    I.       If we do not abide:

    1.Self-focus

    2.Forcing

    3.Disappointment

    4.Anger

    5.Anxiety

    6.Exhaustion

    7.Wounding

    III.    Staying “in” the abiding life

    Spiritually & Emotionally healthy people learn to go to God and get “Life” in daily matters without “having” to go to others on a “constant” basis. They are also completely honest with God &
