Philippians 2:6-8 - “Although He existed in the form of God…He emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant….Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.”

Luke 2:52 - “And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”

Isaiah 53:2-3 -  “…He has no stately form or majesty that we should look upon Him, nor appearance that we should be attracted to Him. He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief…”

Acts 10:38 -  “You know Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”

1 John 2:6 - “The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.”

I. Jesus concealed His glory while on earth. He walked as a person
is meant to live. By His life He shows us how we are now able to
   live.

Transformation Verse (December) - (Jesus said) …I have come that they may have life, and have it to the fullest. John 10:10

Main Points: We are called to walk as Jesus walked while He was on earth (1 John 2:6, Luke 4:14, 18-20). We are commanded to follow His example. Knowing how He lived while on earth is crucial to daily spiritual success.

    #1- Reviewing this Past Sunday
Jesus the Messiah
Matthew 2:1-12

1. Read Isaiah 53:1-3. Review Sunday’s message with someone.
2. Read Luke 2:52. Why do you think those in Jesus’ family and
hometown would have had such a problem with Him being the
Messiah? What does this tell us about His humanity?
3. What did you learn from Sunday that will equip you to walk as
    Jesus walked?
4. Pray for yourself and others to walk as Jesus walked.

 # 2- Preparing for Next Sunday
Where is God?
Psalm 13

1. Read Psalm 13. What sticks out to you in the passage?
2. Do you ever feel God is silent? What has happened to make you
    believe that?
3. What do you expect from God in regards to how He
    communicates to you?
4. What do you do to actively hear from God on a regular basis?
5. Pray that we would hear, receive, and then obey God’s Word for
His glory and to also see others come to know and treasure
    Christ.
