 4. Choose pleasing God over people. (1 Samuel 15:9)

Galatians 1:10 - “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

 5. Live authentically in private and in public. (1 Samuel 15:10-14)

Faith Sheet

 1. What were some instructions as a child you obeyed halfheartedly?

2. Notice how Samuel put Saul’s sin in the context of God’s faithfulness. Why is this important?

3. How can we tell the difference between true repentance over sin and mere regret over sin’s consequences?

4. Using these scriptures, what characteristics are good for all believers, (especially men)? Use these to pray for one another. Psalm 105:4, 119:105, Proverbs 5:18, 2 Samuel 10:7,12, Proverbs 31:8-9, 1 Corinthians 15:58, 1 Peter 5:5-7, Colossians 3:19, Matthew 6:33.
