Promised Land: Deborah-God’s Woman

Judges 4:1-10

I. Women have the same spiritual gifts as men. (Judges 4:4-5)

~ She was a judge and prophetess.

~ She was a singer and songwriter.

~ She was a wife and mother.

~ Her spiritual gifts were wisdom, teaching, reproof and encouragement.

II.  Women yielded to God will be used as powerfully by the Lord as any man.

III. Women and men are to be complimentary in their different God-given roles.

1 Timothy 3:1-7 – “…if any man aspires to the office of overseer …He must be…the husband of one wife, He must be one who manages his own household well, …if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God? ...he must have a good reputation with those outside the church…”

IV. Spirit led Women using their spiritual gifts are spiritually attractive and influential.
