I grew up as the oldest of five, and went to General McLane High School. I understood who Christ was but never committed or even understood Him at that time. I loved sports and played soccer, football, and ran hurdles. I went to Penn State's main campus for my undergrad in Engineering, but switched to English when I started reading C.S. Lewis. My reading about God started because God's hand was in many things at college. I was invited to a Bible study and the first sermon I heard was life-changing for me. It was while being trained to personally evangelize that I realized I had to have Christ in my own life and it was then through God's grace that He brought me closer and closer to Him.
I went to Edinboro University for my teaching certificate and while attending a student ministry, I met my future wife, Katie, and we got married on July 7th, 2012. We now live in Edinboro and both of us are employed as high school teachers. We started coming to MCC the spring before we were married and I knew it was like finding a gem in a coalmine. God has been blessing the people at MCC, the biblical environment and pastors so much that it is easy to pour my life into ministry while receiving back encouragement and support.
